The backgrounds in the video are Scotland (Glasgow, Cove Park), Singapore (Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Botanic Gardens), Jeju Island (Saryoni Forest Trail, Saebyeol Oreum, Hamdeok Beach), and Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands. The data animation was made with the research data of Dr. Shim Seung Bo in the field of quantum signal conversion technology based on photodynamic systems at KOREA RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS AND SCIENCE and the subtitles were partially excerpted from mentoring conversation with Dr. Shim over 2 years. Using the noise of a quantum research cooler, 6 audio files of 6 sound ranges such as 100, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, and 10000 Hz in the audible range of 20~20000 Hz are played repeatedly through 23 speaker bars and stereo speakers.
In Quantum Mechanics, Skip functions as a mechanism of nonlinear discontinuity and uncertainty, such as Skip Connection, Quantum Tunneling, and Quantum Pump. In contemporary media, Jump Cut and Montage in cinema, and Multilayered Wave and Hertz in Soundscapes are explored in connection with Skip in Quantum Mechanics.
