"If slow, existence visible. If fast, flow visible."

 

The five hundred individual figures increasingly overlap as the speed accelerates, becoming perceptible as a single flow. At high speed, the sound resembles beads rolling, but as it returns to normal speed, it becomes the original sound of the wooden Buddhist temple block. Through changes in speed, image, and sound, the work explores the Buddhist concepts of impermanence (無常, mu-sang) and dependent origination (緣起, yeon-gi)—the idea that no fixed existence exists, and that everything emerges through change and relationship.

오백 개의 개별 형상은 속도가 빨라질수록 서로 겹쳐지며 하나의 흐름으로 보인다. 빠른 속도에서 구슬이 굴러가는 듯 들리던 소리는 정상 속도가 되자 본연의 목탁 소리로 돌아온다. 고정된 존재는 없고 모든 것은 변화와 관계 속에서 드러난다는 무상(無常)과 연기(緣起)의 개념을 속도와 이미지, 그리고 소리의 변화를 통해 탐색한다. ​
